Building Homes Customized for and By U.S. Veterans

MTC Properties1, LLC is a for-profit real estate development company with a social mission for U.S. Veterans. The company gives veterans an opportunity to design and customize a new home of his or her own, while helping to revitalize North Lawndale in Chicago, Illinois.

This business model was created to promote home ownership for Veterans currently residing on the West Side of Chicago and to encourage Veterans to relocate to this up and coming community.

MTC Properties1 will work with a veteran through the customization and construction process of his or her own modular home. A modular home is manufactured off-site in sections such as foundation, floors, walls, and roof.

The sections are transported to the site where they are assembled into a home.

The total manufacturing time can take 6 to 8 weeks and the total time to construct can take up to 5 days, including the foundation time. That’s right! A veteran can move into his or her new home within 4 months, from picking out the floor plan to the closing table (if the project stays on schedule).

Mission Statement

Our mission is to create stability for U.S. Veterans by promoting home ownership on the West Side of Chicago, while helping to revitalize  the community.

Goal

MTC Properties1’s goal is to help North Lawndale undergo an economic transformation by servicing veterans who wish to become home owners.

Social Involvement

We are committed to the community by being actively involved in social engagements, as well as, veteran activities.
