The history of modular construction spans over 300 years, with the first reporting in the 1600s. A house was disassembled in England and shipped to America, where it was reassembled to house Fisherman who had relocated to America.
The modular industry started expanding into commercial use, in the 1940s. Our neighboring State of Indiana, started converting recreational vehicles and mobile homes into classrooms. This was also the start of office trailers being used on construction sites.
In 1983, the first modular association was formed, "Mobile Modular Office Association".
